Ceraius 4

Ceraius has a newer deck inspired by this one: RCO Location Focus

Publishing for feedback.

This is my attempt at a revised content only location focused support deck for multiplayer. The core idea is to have strong questing and location clearing power.

Hero lineup provides solid questing capabilities and with a few tricks from the player cards can take on some enemies if needed.

Arwen Undómiel provides extra resources at the expense of discarding and provides access to Elrond's Counsel and with Beravor access to Tale of Tinúviel. Arwen Undómiel herself is the only valid recipient of her action but considering the sphere costs of the deck this should be fine.

Beravor was included for access to and extra card draw to fuel the many discard opportunities for this deck. She is also the hero defender of this build should it be needed. Originally I considered Bifur for the access for resource smoothing and low threat but decided against it due to the comparatively low total cost of the final deck and the high amount of discard effects needing more fuel.

Éowyn is here as the staple super quester since the dawn of the game and and with Herugrim provides the attack power for the hero lineup should they need to participate in combat.

Reasonings in order of cards listed for the rest of the deck.

Daughter of the Nimrodel found its way into the deck to provide healing where its needed. If Beravor needs to perform a block before getting anything to boost her defense to bring her back up or to help out across the table. Imladris Caregiver was entertained as an alternative but the deck already has so much to discard to I decided against him.

Galdor of the Havens was included as a single copy late game card. His high cost being the reason for only one. His response will have no issues triggering every round and he peovides a decent 2 and 4 health for archery damage and such.

Gléowine is here simply to provide reliable card draw.

Glorfindel was added as a safe discard due to his ability to be played from the discard pile and provides solid questing and attack capabilities once on the board.

Mirkwood Explorer is here to provide questing power and targeted location control against those patricularly pesky locations where you dont want to pay the travel cost.

Northern Tracker is simply too good to omit from a location centric deck.

Rhovanion Outrider is included to provide similar benefits as Mirkwood Explorer albeit in a more trickle than a burst.

Súlien is here to make questing easier with her action should the staging area accumulate a high amount of locations. Beside that shes a solid quester.

The Riddermark's Finest is the budget single use Asfaloth since him and Glorfindel arent available in revised content.

West Road Traveller is included mainly for the location swap to play around travel effects.

Ancient Mathom provides the deck with more draw to fuel the discards. It also lends its flexibility to other players should they be starving for draw.

Herugrim makes Éowyn able to dish out decent damage in the occasions an enemy needs bashing.

Protector of Lórien goes on Beravor to provide extra defense should she be needed as a blocker.

Snowmane is here to provide Éowyn with action advantage to allow her to quest and attack in the same round if needed.

Steed of Imladris provides extra oomph to clear the active location which helps Ancient Mathom to trigger on who you want it to.

Unexpected Courage provides action advantage to the rest of your heroes to make sure Tale of Tinúviel and Beravors action can be used as necessary.

A Test of Will is here to prevent especially nasty treacheries as usual.

Elrond's Counsel provides free threat reduction with a slight boost to boot.

Elven-light is here as a safe discard and more card draw.

Tale of Tinúviel is included as a clutch boost to Beravor in combat if you need a big block or help with attacking.

Gather Information is included for fetching whichever card you feel is crucial for the situation. And as a bonus your friends can do the same!

Sideboard has cards I have entertained as options for some of the deck but havent been given much thought so disregard those if you wish.

It hasnt been playtested yet but I feel its ready for feedback.

This looks like a fun deck! A couple of things that might be worth considering:

Overall, great job building within the Revised Content! I would be happy to see this deck across the table in a multiplayer game :).

Thanks for the input!

I actually have an unpublished version of the deck with Ioreth subbed in but i felt it didnt quite warrant a republish just for that. I toyed with the Imladris Caregiver idea while first constructing the deck but was afraid I'd run out of draw to feed into all the discard effects. Will have to playtest a bit to see if I find all the draw to keep the engine going. Same thing for Will of the West. Dont really know if i need to include it until the deck has had a few outings.

Nice catch with The Evening Star and Explorer's Almanac! I'll definitely need to give some thought to including those.

for non-rev Idraen and Asfaloth might be good additions and rev: perhaps the Woodland Courier instead of the West Road Traveller or Steed of Imladris (with much tracker and rhovanion outrider often you travel less or not at all anymore) might make sense.

@doomguard Yes, outside revised content those would indeed make it into the list.

Im a little reluctant to remove West Road Traveller even though I understand your reasoning. The location juggling to recycle positive travel effects and avoid bad ones is nice to have. Even if most locations end up being cleared from the staging there are enough nasty ones that'll give you trouble like Side Street. hallofbeorn.com
