Trying to make Harad work. And that’s no small feat!

I already tested with Noldors so I decided to go for one of the best The Last Alliance, with Thengel and Éowyn.

The idea is to "play" expensives Harads with Worthy of Remembrance and The Last Alliance to Thengel them.

We can A Very Good Tale them too.

We draw thanks to Horn of the Mark, Gléowine and search our importants cards with A Fair Exchange and Need Brooks No Delay.

We defend with Jubayr + Hauberk of Mail + Kahliel's Tribesman.

We quest with Éowyn, Thengel, allies and Kahliel's Headdress.

We kill with Worthy of Remembrance, Gúthwinë, Ceorl, Westfold Lancer, Yazan and Kahliel's Tribesman if needed.

The contract has (too) many Actions :

its really a hard task to make something good with harad. your trial is o.k. but in this configuration, you can replace harad with every trait. that does not make it worse, but its not very important to take harad as 2. trait. just discussing no offense ;)

the alliance with rohan and thengel seems a bit constructed and not very synergetic, because harad has no discard for themself (the discard from Kahliel is sadly from hand not play). i can imagine a "normal"swarmdeck would be a better way (e.g. dwarfes with Dáin Ironfoot )

i am not even sure, that The Last Alliance is the best way. you hinder yourself to use Gandalf + Sneak Attack or other usefull allies (just name a few Arwen Undómiel, Glorfindel, Merry,....)

I tried things without The Last Alliance and its always too long. Even with Noldors and To the Sea, to the Sea!.

Here the key card is Worthy of Remembrance. I work on it and actually this deck with Háma instead of Éowyn is better.

This card discard an harad and put Jubayr or Firyal in play.

I don't think that Sneak Attack Gandalf is that good, and I like playing some decks without Arwen Undómiel, Quickbeam or Angbor the Fearless ;)

i think secrecy with Timely Aid and A Very Good Tale + carddraw might be a solution (and an early A Very Good Tale with a sneaked Gandalf is powerfull ) or, if using The Last Alliance then with a trait that can draw much cards and then use the benefit of discarding allies from hand (trait then might be eagles or ents with #The Eagles Are Coming! or Entmoot )

with Thengel it seem very luck-dependent to me (u need an ally, then a card to discard, and then get lucky to have the worthy ally in the next 5 of the deck)

Unfortunately you can't use The Last Alliance with Thengel. The contract does not affect card traits, only ability text.

@ doomguard, yes there are already many The Grey Wanderer Kahliel for exemple, I wanted to build an other version.

@ kjeld, I don't target Thengel with The Last Alliance, I target Worthy of Remembrance. So I discard an harad from play, then Thengel can do his ability normaly, without shenanigans.

i would not make The Grey Wanderer have Denethor Kahliel (MotK) Ioreth in mind.
